Our Visit To Denman!

On the 24th March, 45 of our ladies braved the weather and went on a visit to Denman College in Oxford.

For some of the ladies it was their first time visiting Denman and for others they had enjoyed their previous visits so much they just had to go again.

The ladies arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by tea and a slice of cake before being given a tour of the grounds, which was led by West Yorkshire Federation Chairman Helena Harrington and Denman Ambassador Gemma Rathbone.

In the evening, the ladies enjoyed a 3 course meal along with some wine and following was an interesting talk from a local lady named Christine Whild, who had a range of antiques with her and fascinating stories about each piece.

On the second day at Denman, the ladies had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities such as Bead and Wire Jewellery, Silk Scarf Dying, The Magic of the Musicals and a Seasonal Cookery Demonstration.

In the afternoon, the 45 ladies came back up North happy and ready to go back down to Denman!
