June Events

Event - Spruce Up Your Embroidery
Date - 8th June
Time - 10am for 10.30am - 3.30pm

Learn how to spruce up your embroidery skills at this workshop. We will cover basic embroidery stitches and develop skills using embellishments such as beads, sequins and buttons.

Event - Down The Garden Path Patchwork

Do you dislike the traditional method of constructing curved patchwork? Come and learn a simpler method, devised by Karin Hellaby, of using appliqué. Also learn the traditional method of appliqué using freezer paper and machine appliqué using Bondaweb.

Event - Summer Ramble

Come with your family and friends to join one of our 3, 5 and 7 mile walks. Join us for a cup of tea or coffee and biscuit at 10.30am before setting on your walk at 11am. Tea and cake will be available upon your return to the village. (There will be a small charge for these). Meet members from around the Federation and enjoy a day in the fresh air. This is an event that is open to anyone and if you haven't booked you can still join us on the day. However, it would be helpful for catering purposes if you could book in advance.

Following our delicious lunch our speaker Hugh Davies from Bletchley Park, the home of the code breakers, will talk to us about women's role in cracking the code and as a special agents during the Second World War. This will be a fascinating talk!
