Baildon, Books & Recipes to Remember!

Hi there. This week we have an outstanding WI, a book recommendation and three tasty recipes to remember.

First, Baildon Belles WI that is located near Shipley is one of the biggest institutes in the Federation and has started their very own website and blog. The website has information about the institute, diary dates and a link to their official blog. Their blog will be updated regularly with information about their meetings, events and other fun activities they are hosting.

For this months book club, we have a book all about romantic comedies names 'From Notting Hill With Love... Actually'. If you think that those two films are amazing and funny you will definitely enjoy this book. Take a look at the Book Club page for more information on the book.

Also for this months recipes, we have three, two desserts and one main meal. These are Hot BBQ beef, horseradish and pasta salad, Chocolate Cake With Butter Cream and Old WI Fruit Cake. Take a look at our recipes for more information.

WI's, Resolutions & Knitted Squares!

We are growing quickly!

Sit and Knit a Bit - 100 Million Stitches -International Women's Day Project!  
This project is to highlight the resaons why 100 million women are not in the world today because of gender discrimination. They are aiming to receive around 60 - 100 million knitted squares to create a large knitted blanket. They estimated that to make the blanket that large they will have to get around 600 knitted squares a day, so get involved!
The guidelines are to knit roughly around 6x6 knitted square using any yarn and any needles. You can also knit as many as you like! Your design can be completely your own with words, something personal and much more.

7. Extension of the Admiral Nurses network to Provide Dementia Care on a National Basis

British Library - 18th January!

Hi all!
If you take a look at the Whats Coming Up Section you will see that there is a new event for the British Library event. This our 4th successful visit to the British Library in Wetherby since October.
