Our day with speakers Professor Sebag-Montefiore, Julie Marshall Pallister Macmillan specialist nurse and Dr. Elaine James from the Cancer Screening Services will help improve our knowledge of how we can keep ourselves as well as possible by raising awareness of early diagnosis, modern treatments and the support servies available to patients and their families.

SKIPTON BARGE TRIP

40 members enjoying a recent Skipton Barge Trip with lunch - one commented after the event saying

THANK YOU for a super trip on the canal trip.  Everything went well - the organisation [of course] was 100%, the "cruise" was smooth, the meal was very tasty, and the scenery was very interesting - including the cow drinking from the canal ! I was intrigued by the Polish Airmen's Memorial, and "googled" the information about it when I got home - seemingly it commemorates the crew of a WW2 Polish bomber aircraft who were killed when their plane crashed near the canal. My friend, Hilary, also enjoyed the trip, and the meal, she was astonished it all appeared from a tiny kitchen !
